Privacy Policy

TraxGig (“TraxGig,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides income, expense, mileage, and tax-estimate tracking tools for self-employed professionals at www.traxgig.com (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and a password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider).

Financial tracking data you provide. The Service works by letting you record information about your work: income sources and amounts, business expenses, cost of goods, client and invoice records, trip details for mileage (including start and end addresses you enter), and savings goals. You choose what to enter; we do not connect to your bank or pull financial data automatically.

Usage data. We use analytics tools (including Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics) that collect standard usage information such as pages visited, approximate location derived from IP address, browser type, and device information, typically via cookies or similar technologies.

Communications. If you contact us (for example at support@traxgig.com), we keep the correspondence.

2. How we use information

We use your information to provide and operate the Service (including calculating your tax estimates and deductions), maintain and secure your account, respond to support requests, understand how the Service is used so we can improve it, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your financial tracking data for advertising.

3. How information is shared

We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, under agreements that limit how they may use it:

Our infrastructure and hosting providers (including Vercel), our database and authentication provider (Supabase), analytics providers (Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics), our email delivery provider (Resend), and mapping/geocoding services used to look up addresses you enter for mileage tracking.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of TraxGig or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case this policy will continue to apply to previously collected data).

4. Data retention and deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual records (expenses, trips, income entries) at any time from your dashboard. To delete your account and associated data entirely, contact us at support@traxgig.com and we will process the request within 30 days, except where we are required to retain data by law.

5. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and role-based access controls on our database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Cookies and analytics choices

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Google provides an opt-out for Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking cookies may affect some functionality of the Service.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in the app; for anything else, email support@traxgig.com. We do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or a notice in the Service before the changes take effect. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version.
